Sand Creations: My story

As a photographer capturing a piece of history is always monumental, and we get to do that with living as well as inanimate objects.

Sand creations are transient, and very similar to each day of our lives, the originals last for a very short time. To photograph each one is to highlight each memory, so to speak, and capture a  moment when the creation was made and perfected.

A friend of mine, an acrylic painter and fashion designer Kuban, was chosen to showcase his work at an art exhibition at the Gaylord Hotel in Washington DC and encouraged me to share my sand creations with the world. I mention him here as my exploration of this medium - the sand creating coupled with photography as an artform - is a testament to his prodding and encouragement, for which I am very grateful.
